Assignment #1-3
Evaluating Internet Resources

First, you need to read Really Bad PowerPoint and How to Avoid it. You should then read this packet about presentation hacks
Next, as a table/team you are to read and understand the section of Evaluating Internet Resources that your group will be assigned. You will count off by "8" and you are assigned the sections as follows based upon your number:

The 1's: Author
The 2's: Purpose
The 3's: Objectivity
The 4's: Accuracy
The 5's: Reliability and Credibility
The 6's: Currency and Links
The 7's: Conclusion
The 8's: Author

Then, your team is to create a slide deck using Google Slides. (You create ONE Google Slides presentation). The purpose of the slide deck is to help you teach your section of the article to the class. Follow the guidelines you learned in the eBook by Seth Godin (Really Bad PowerPoint and How to Avoid it). Some of you are wondering where you find Google Slides. Log in to Gmail. If you do not have Gmail--create an account.

Then, each of you (individually) must figure out how to display the completed slide deck on your website on the Assignment #1-3 tab. I do not want a link, I want to be able to see the presentation right on the site. Is there a way to do that? Yes, there is. It is called embedding. Google is your friend!
Next class, you will project your slide deck from your laptop and give the presentation in class. Everyone in the group must participate (speak!) in the presentation.

Go to your Gmail page and in the top right corner there are 9 dots. Click on that and you will see a screen similar to the one to the left.

Click on Drive. when you do you will see a screen similar to the one on the right.

Just click on Google Slides and begin from there. Remember to follow the rules from Seth Godin in your reading.
